ADMINISTRATION Rita Flude Rita Flude is Pastor Lynne's personal assistant and oversees the day to day administration of the church office, ably assisted by Audrey Grzyb. TOP

BREAKOUT Faye Eveson & Shane Budby Breakout work is currently on hold, however the ministry was set up to serve young people throughout Leicestershire with a vision to expand across the UK, bringing to them teaching on the power of purity in all aspects of their lives. Breakout consists of various events which explore lifestyle, choices and issues faced by young Christians in the 21st centuary, showing them how to live in the world without being part of it, living with a Kingdom culture and being a Christ-like example to their peers. This is a culture relevant raodshow with interactive session, media presentations and live music. TOP

CHILDREN'S WORK - JUST 4 KIDS Tracy Withers We want to encourage children, seeing them as God’s church today and leaders of tomorrow. We aim to work with parents bringing up children to know and love God. During the first part of the service we ask parents to be responsible for their children. There are several Sunday activities available to children during the second part of the service, geared towards their specific age groups. The children are taught about the importance of a personal friendship with God and take part in a variety of activities including games, discussions, crafts and music. All of our leaders are CRB checked and have a desire to see children living life to the full in the power of God. TOP

COUPLES Steve and Sharon Parker Our ultimate goal is for every couple to have the marriage that God intended for them. To do this we get alongside couples helping them understand how to build a good foundation for marriage built on biblical principles. We will be starting an Alpha Marriage Course soon to help recently married couples to implement those principles and build their marriage on the solid foundation of God's word. ( Matt 7:24) TOP

DANCE/FLAGS Heather Chapman Our vision is that we minister to the Lord Jesus in worship and minister to His body, the church. We put the enemy to flight through dance and use dance in evangelism so others can know Jesus. God loves dance and delights to see His people dancing before Him. When we dance we enter into a freedom in worship as we express love for our creator. We are made in God's image and likeness (Genesis 1:29), we believe God wants us to express His creative nature in our worship. Therefore we explore many forms of dance including: the use of flags banners and ribbons, tambourines, Israeli dance, creative movement, signing, dancing in intercession, spiritual warfare and choreographed dance. We attend workshops and conferences led by the Christian Dance Fellowship of Britain (CDFB). TOP

DESCAFE Shane Budby Descafe is a club which is run by Identified, the youth ministry at Elohim Church. This provides a youth support service for the young people in Desford and its surrounding villages. The club offers a range of different activities which include table tennis, pool, board games and PlayStation 2 and chill out room. Descafe also runs regular outings. The leaders aim to be good positive role models for the young people. All leaders are CRB checked, working in cooperation with the local Community Support Officer and Parish Council. TOP

DISCIPLESHIP Pastor Lynne Eveson Elohim Church has a discipleship programme - God wants to train up his followers to be effective in establishing His Kingdom in the world by obeying His commission to GO and make disciples. TOP

DRAMA James and Helen Wheeldon Drama is a powerful and creative tool. The church has a youth drama team who write their own sketches, which are used in church and outreach events. TOP

ELOHIM UNITED FC Paul Carnell The football team is Elohim United FC and is organised by Paul Carnell and Colin Smith . They currently play 5-a-side games on a friendly basis. TOP

EVANGELISM As part of the vision for Elohim Church, we have been called to make Jesus known. As well as reaching out to our local community we send teams out to different nations to spread the word of God. TOP

FINANCE Colin Rushin The finance team is led by Colin Rushin. the vision is to see God’s people living in the truth of God’s word and His provision for them. The Church encourages people to tithe (Malachi 3:10). As a registered charity we have a board of trustees whose responsibility it is to ensure that funds are used wisely for the extension of God’s Kingdom. TOP

GOOD NEWS FRIDAY Paul Chapman & Steve Parker Every Friday a team of volunteers offer practical services for no cost to the residents of Barlestone Village. These services include painting, electrical repair, gardening, cleaning and a whole host of other small jobs. This is greatly appreciated by the residents who benefit from the scheme. TOP

HOSPITALITY & TEA CLUB Sheila Gibson Elohim Church hosts a Tea Club at the Village Hall in Barlestone at 5.00 p.m. on the second Sunday afternoon of each month. The aim is to reach out and offer hospitality to the people of Barlestone and neighbouring villages in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where friendships can be forged. The Hospitality team also cater for guest speakers and church celebrations. TOP

IDENTIFIED - YOUTH WORK Shane Budby The youth work at Elohim Church, led by Shane Budby, is a vital part of equipping the youth, ready for what life throws at them. There are several aspects to the youth work which are all carefully planned and implemented. Identified is the name of the youth ministry of Elohim Church, aimed at 14 to 18 year olds. The focus of the ministry is to help young people who have made a commitment to Jesus to grow in their identity as Christians and become more confident in that identity. We also focus on bringing young people that have not found Jesus into a place of discovering their true identity and helping them find out more about life’s big questions. The overall focus of the ministry is to see young people IDENTIFIED in Christ. All leaders are CRB checked. TOP

LADIES EVENTS Faye Eveson Our ladies events enable women to fellowship and grow together in the fullness of Christ. Our aim is to deepen our relationship with God and each other, to form greater friendships and unity, have fun and make time to share and be real! TOP

MEDIA Nick Jordan Elohim Media has a vision for life! We want to see something new birthed in the church, not just in Elohim but the whole church body. ‘The Media’ is a creative way to enable people to grow in a relationhip with God. Can you imagine the wider impact! That’s exactly what Elohim Media is working towards. We take care of the technological side of the church, producing high-quality media such as DVD production, audio productions and this website. TOP

MEN'S EVENTS Brian Eveson Band Of Brothers or as it is commonly refered to 'BOB' is a monthly event which targets men of all shapes, sizes and ages to connect with the spirit and explore their faith on a deeper level. Brian's passion for worship is transfered to this ministry to see men engage in worship rather than leaving it upto the girls! TOP

MISSION Pastor Lynne Eveson We are called to go into all the world and make disciples. Elohim Church has a dedicated mission ministry to go and make Jesus known in our nation and in all the world. We have mission teams who visit Poland and Uganda. We have planted and support Elohim Church Uganda, a church which serves the rural area of Lowero. TOP

PRAYER & INTERCESSION Elohim Church has an intercessory team who are constantly praying and crying out to God in a powerful and effective way. As well as this, the church has a 'prayer clock' where members of the church take it in turns to pray continuously for 24 hours from 6pm Friday to 6pm Saturday. "A people who are called to worship and prayer. Praying in the Spirit and with the word of God, interceding for our nation for REVIVAL". "A church committed to pray for the needs of people, locally, nationally and internationally". TOP

PUBLICITY Shane Budby As making Jesus known is part of the church's ultimate aim, we make sure that any general information or upcoming events are publicised effectively through local publications as well as our own unique graphic design. TOP

TEACHING Mike Withers There are several teaching courses available in the church. These are designed to encourage God’s people to study and apply God’s word in their lives, living in the freedom of Christ. TOP

TRANSPORT Colin Rushin Colin Rushin directs the Church vehicles. A pool car, Church van and minibus. The bus is used to provide transport to and from church meetings, and in support of other ministries. In addition Colin provides a service for anyone in need of transport for doctor or hospital visits. A free ‘shopping trip’ service is provided for those in the area who have no transport of their own. This is an opportunity to demonstrate God’s love in a practical way. The bus is staffed entirely by volunteers and is always subject to driver availability. All drivers take a certified mini bus driver's assessment. TOP

WAY OF THE SPIRIT Mike Withers Many Christians struggle to understand the Bible. What is it all about? What holds it all together? What is the way of God's Spirit in it? Can I walk with God in the same way as the people in the Bible did? If so, how? The Way of the Spirit aims to help you to answer these questions. It seeks to help you understand the Bible, the ways of God's Spirit in it, and how to enter into the richness of life that men of Bible times enjoyed. The course has been developed by Kingdom Faith. WELCOME TEAM Tony and Pat Snow The purpose of the Welcome Team is to ensure that visitors to the church receive a personal and warm welcome. TOP

WORKS Duncan Verey This is a ‘hands-on ministry’ which requires essential team work. The aim of the works ministry is to organise and maintain the practical works of the church. TOP

WORSHIP Faye Eveson We were created to worship God. Elohim Church has a dedicated worship team who delight in the worship of Jesus and in helping the whole church to press through to the Throne of God. Faye Eveson leads the ‘Worship Team.’ Her vision is “to lead the team and others before the Throne of God in praise and worship.” The team meet regularly for prayer, teaching and practice sessions.
